About: Karen R.J. White

Karen R.J. White, MSc, PMP, is Senior Director for Consulting Services at PM Solutions, where her responsibilities include oversight of the company’s consulting engagements with leading corporations and complex organizations worldwide. Before assuming this executive position, Karen provided consulting services to Fortune 500 companies, with a focus on information systems project management. Karen holds an MS in Information Systems from Northeastern University’s College of Engineering. Active in the system engineering and project management communities, Karen has chaired and spoken at numerous workshops and conferences, plus contributed to various books and bodies of knowledge, including The AMA Handbook of Project Management. A former international Director of the Project Management Institute (PMI) and Immediate Past Chairperson of PMI’s Ethics Review Committee, Karen is the Chair of the PMI Educational Foundation Board of Directors. She is an active member of IEEE’s Technical Council on Software Engineering, having served on its Executive Advisory Board. Karen has been continuously listed in Who’s Who of America and Who’s Who of the World since 1998. She is also active in local civic organizations, introducing the project management discipline to their activities.
