HAVERTOWN, Pa. (July 26, 2007) – PM Solutions’ Center for Business Practices (CBP) invites IT practitioners who are actively engaged in improving their project management practices to attend its Fall 2007 Benchmarking Forum, IT Project Management Best Practices. The two-day knowledge-sharing event, which will be held at the Bellagio Las Vegas, September 18-19, is designed to provide IT project practitioners with new insights about what’s working in IT project management, what’s not, and how to move forward.
The Forum involves a high degree of attendee participation that includes breakout group discussions, reporting best practices to the overall group, and providing feedback to case presenters. Key topics covered in the two-day forum include:
- Agile Project Management
- IT Requirements Management
- Methodology Integration
- IT Measurement
- IT Governance
In addition, IT industry thought leaders and senior practitioners will present the following case studies:
- PM and BA Roles in Integrating an ITIL Service Across Multiple Companies by David Davis, AT&T eSales and Services
- 10 Habits of Highly Effective Measurement Programs by Ian Brown, Booz Allen Hamilton
- IT Governance: Optimizing Processes and Tools to Ensure the Greatest Organizational Value by Mike Bitter, The Nebraska Medical Center
- Tailoring Agile Project Management to an Immature Project Management Organization by Roy Pool, Brinks Inc.
Prior to the Forum, the CBP is hosting two half-day workshops, titled Agile Project Management featuring Scrum and IT Requirements Management: Best Practices in Gathering Requirements, on Monday, September 17, also at the Bellagio Las Vegas.
Attendees will leave the Forum with a clear understanding of best practices, how they are effectively used in other organizations, and how they can help their organizations optimize their project management value. Results from the Forum are compiled, and a comprehensive summary report is provided to all participants.
Early-bird pricing for the two-day forum is $995 (register by August 17). Registration for a half-day pre-forum workshop is $395 per workshop. Discount pricing is available for three or more registrations from the same organization.
