PM Solutions Expands Relationship with SAP to Advance Global Project Management Maturity


Efforts focused on enhancing SAP's responsiveness to customer needs and strengthening its product and service delivery capabilities

HAVERTOWN, PA (April 12, 2006) – PM Solutions, a project management, consulting, training, and research provider, has extended its business relationship with SAP AG, the world's leading provider of business software solutions, to raise project management maturity across its global enterprise. Together, the companies are enhancing responsiveness to customer needs and strengthening its ability to deliver products and corresponding services on a consistent and repeatable basis.

The relationship, which originated in 1999, builds upon the foundation that PM Solutions helped SAP establish through education, methodology enhancement, project portfolio management, maturity benchmarking, value measurement, and the establishment of a global project management office. Under the direction of SAP's global project management office, PM Solutions is now supporting SAP Consulting by providing knowledge management services, global project management maturity assessments, and additional training programs.

Currently, PM Solutions is working with SAP Consulting to develop a global project management knowledge management process, which will help the company more efficiently use the knowledge gained from each implementation to expand its product offering and better meet its customers' business needs. This initiative will help enable SAP to:

  • Reuse expertise and assets across the enterprise;
  • Realize higher profitability;
  • Exercise better risk management;
  • Increase business from both new and existing customers; and
  • Improve employee satisfaction and retention.

In addition, PM Solutions will continue its project management maturity assessments in SAP subsidiaries in South America, Europe, Africa, and Asia. Benchmarking against original maturity assessments performed by PM Solutions in 2004 using PM Solutions' Project Management Maturity Model (PMMMSM), these assessments will provide an understanding of the level of project management advancement made by each region, and identify areas for short, medium, and long-term process improvement actions.
