PMO Study Participants Get It. Do You?

February 1, 2022 | by Jeannette Cabanis-Brewin

Crowdsource a map to your future. Now thru Feb. 4!

It's a long journey, this working life of ours. Sometimes it's a slog through a jungle, or a desert. Along the way, many forks in the road. Sometimes you can see the way ahead, but a lot of the time, you're down in the weeds. What distinguishes the lost and desperate from the purposeful traveller?

A map. Information, in context. Perspective.

When those who participate in one of our research studies receive their thank-you gift--the full-data version of the study--they are in possession of a detailed map that shows many potential routes to success, as well as warning signs (Don't Go There!). For the State of the PMO study--our first since 2016--this map will include the routes taken by the best in class. How PMOs are structured in organizations performing at the top of their game, what methodologies they use, what kind of training they offer, what functions they perform, and many other data points can be beacons to others working in project management. So, too, can the details about low performing organizations. (Don't Go There!)

Of course, all the studies have executive summaries posted online that sketch the big picture. But for the shortcuts, you need the full data. Now's your chance: help us crowdsource this map to the future of the PMO. The questionnaire remains live through Feb. 4. Do you have 15 minutes to invest in clearing a path?
